Executive Summary

The successful implementation of a Document Control System begins with a detailed understanding of the specific challenges and requirements of an organization. The organization must have the knowledge and capabilities to create an effective document management system. Understanding the current business processes will lead the organization in implementing a document control system that drives efficiency, productivity, and reduced operating cost. The purpose of this paper is to develop a systematic document control management system that will improve the work process flow documentation procedure in Red Ribbon Quality Assurance Department. The ISO standard clause 4.2.3 Control of documents will be used as a guideline in establishing the document control system. The level of documents should be well defined, such as policies, procedures, work instructions and forms to be used within the organization. This will further enhance the document planning process of the development of the document control system. The establish document control system of Red Ribbon Bakeshop Quality Assurance Department will be evaluated annually and updated as necessary, to ensure continuous improvement.
