Executive Summary

This is technology foresight for the future of the Philippines through sustainable development and technological advancement using scenario planning exercise for Green building information modeling (BIM) adoption of Philippine Built Environment for the next 10 years (2011-2020). The paper aimed to provide a possible venue for Philippines to take advantage of the global change that is happening in the design and construction industry that would create a technological catch-up for the Philippines. The theoretical framework used are scenario planning for the Green BIM adoption through technology transfer through acquisition where assimilation and diffusion will involve change management, knowledge management and technological capability building of a company. BIM changes the design process that integrates project delivery from design, construction and operations. The 10 stages of scenario planning resulted to the development of Green BIM adoption by 2020 where their vulnerabilities are discussed and supported by technology management practices to realize the technology foresight.
