Abstract

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is one of the highly used tool in performance monitoring. Several studies have indicated that KPIs are effective means of gaining insights on the current performance level of the organization. Setting measurements and success criteria for the different strategies of an organization or a unit will enable them to assess the effectivity of the strategy and improve their approach to achieve their business objectives. 

The study focuses on the development of low-level KPIs and its respective monitoring system for the Service Provider Group of Trends & Technologies, Inc. It aims to facilitate the improvement of the business process activities within the team to achieve their set targets and objectives. Using a KPI development framework, the business objectives, strategies, KPIs, measurements and benchmarks were corresponded in order to formulate the low-level KPIs of the group.

Correspondingly, the developed monitoring system using cost-effective online tool, such as Google Drive and Google Sheet, were able to present the essential low-level KPIs for the team. Result assessment was also incorporated in the KPI development process due to its importance in performance measurement.
