Abstract
The study aims to explore the university's entrepreneurial competencies affecting the creation and development processes for university spin-offs with the use of the entrepreneurial competencies framework developed by Rasmussen et al. (2011) and the different factors, which supported the success of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in spin-off creation. By identifying the inhibitors and drivers of the core processes involved in the development of university spin-offs, the project aims to provide a better understanding and overview of the entrepreneurial competency framework of the university to provide recommendations on how to move forward with the promotion of spin-offs among the community.
